🌿 Why I Started The Journey — The Alkaline Lifestyle

From childhood to adulthood, I had years of dealing with health issues such as seborrheic dermatitis, acne, and lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes). Conventional medicine failed me, but detoxing, an alkaline diet, and herbal remedies was my first step into healing. My alkaline lifestyle journey led me to enlightenment, hope and simplicity. I finally felt like I reclaimed my health!

✨ How My Alkaline Journey Led Me to a Holistic Lifestyle

Through research, I came across the principles of holistic healing, detoxing, and the alkaline diet. The more I learned, the more it resonated with me. I discovered the importance of nourishing my body with natural, high-energy foods and eliminating what was no longer serving me. The alkaline diet aligns with the teachings of Dr.Sebi, who emphasized the power of plant-based nutrition for healing along with herbs.

In 2020, I began my alkaline diet journey with a colon cleanse, followed by a raw alkaline diet. Later, I transitioned to a liquid-only regimen of fresh fruits and vegetables, incorporating herbal support to enhance the process. Each step was a challenge, but also an awakening—I started feeling lighter, more energized, and more in tune with my body’s needs.

Realizing more that diet is not the only key to healing. It’s your environment, who you allow into your circle, what type of music you listen to, what you put on your body, the air quality, our thoughts and our actions.

🔔 The Wake-Up Call — Alkaline Was on My Mind

For years, I dealt with persistent issues that conventional treatments couldn’t truly address. Looking back, I realized how much I had normalized discomfort.

Being okay with dandruff, which was not just regular. Having swollen lymph nodes and told that it can be normal, reoccurring cystic acne. But turning 30 was a pivotal moment for me. I no longer wanted to just “manage” my health—I wanted to thrive. I wanted to live without the discomfort. I was ready to take responsibility of my own well-being.

Enough was enough.

🧠 Shifting My Mindset Through My Lifestyle

Beyond the physical transformation, this journey helped me heal emotionally as well. I started recognizing patterns of self-doubt and limiting beliefs that had held me back. Just as I was detoxing my body, I was also shedding outdated mindsets. This wasn’t just a dietary change—it was a complete lifestyle shift.

For example, I began:

• Throwing away my fingernail polish and non-vegan/non-plant-based makeup

• Replacing food plastic containers with glass

• Ditching the microwave and using the oven to warm my food

• Intentionally sunbathing for health—not just to “look like I went on vacation” lol

• Using the sauna and working out for lymphatic health, not just aesthetics

• Limiting secular music, bars, and drastically cutting back on alcohol

I now do things in moderation and with intention. Life has so much to offer!

I’m not doing these things because someone told me to—I do them because of the experiences that showed me I was living a toxic life, and no wonder I suffered.

🌱 Embracing Holistic Health Entirely

What I’ve learned is that true healing requires a deep understanding of what our bodies actually need—nourishment, balance, and detoxification.

It’s about more than just what we eat; it’s about how we live, how we think, and how we care for ourselves on every level.

My journey is ongoing, but I share this to inspire others who may feel stuck in a cycle of frustration with their health. There is another way—a natural, holistic path to well-being that puts you back in control.

💭 Final Thoughts — Alkaline Lifestyle

Choosing an alkaline lifestyle has been one of the most transformative decisions of my life.

It activated my mind, body, and soul to WAKE UP and take ownership of my life. It has taught me patience, resilience, and self-care in a way I never experienced before.

If you’ve ever felt lost in your own health journey, know that healing is possible. You just have to take that first step. And hey—maybe the alkaline diet is not for you, but all I’m saying is: start somewhere.
